MANDALA # 17/1000

My Magnolia
08.28.18

ROOTS interlaced beneath the surface
STANDING TALL for the years to come
I am grateful for all the leaves amongst the tree
AND
even as they fall
AND
the colors change
There is BEAUTY with where they land
I am ALWAYS grateful for the branches
even when they lose their leaves
for their strength is admirable
the way they hold up the snow
BALANCE
The trunk stays steady
when the wind blows
the branches sway
It is a dance with the storm
without ever losing sight of the ground
YOU are my magnolia tree
YOU bloom with the warmth everyone needs
YOU dazzle the world when
YOU release your true colors
AND while I know you find
the cherry blossoms to be beautiful
I hope you see the BEAUTY of the magnolia

As the world is captivated by
each leaf amongst the tree
each flower amongst the branches
each petal FALLEN
AND
in BLOOM

deep within your roots
through the surface to the sky
YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL MY MAGNOLIA
